- Provincial legislature established B-WASA
- It was to meet water services in cities of Balochistan
- City was meant to be any district with population of more than 100,000
- The B-wasa act was repealed and Q-wasa was established
- It was to serve Quetta District
- To monitor and control water resource both surface and underground, and issue licenses for abstraction of water from such resources in accordance with regulations made by the Authority;
- To take over ownership and responsibility for all services pertaining to water supply, sewerage and sanitation of Quetta District;
- To initiate and maintain a continuous process of comprehensive water supply, sewerage and sanitation in the area;
- To operate and maintain water supply, sewerage and sanitation system within the service area of the Quetta Water and Sanitation Authority to be established under Section 3 of this Act;
About Quetta WASA
Quetta WASA was established to ensure Portable Water Management, Development of Sewerage system and Hygiene Education to the Communities.

We envision to build healthy, clean and disease free environment through provision of sustainable supply of clean drinking Water and Sanitation facilities to the Inhabitants of Quetta District.
Mision
To ensure the proper implementation of development works, monitoring of aquifers and normalization of operation and maintenance systems of Water Supply, Sewerage, and Sanitation Facilities in Quetta District.
